Police appealing for information on the theft of a mobile phone from a woman during a seizure have released CCTV images today, in an attempt to identify a woman who they believe may have information relating to the incident.

British Transport Police want to speak to the woman in the images in relation to the theft, which took place outside Selly Oak station on Sunday 17th February.

At around 12 midday, a woman in her 20s suffered a seizure outside the station. Another woman went over to help, appearing to be a Good Samaritan.

It is believed the woman took the mobile phone from the victim’s pocket and put it into her own pocket.

The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Officers believe the woman in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
