West Midlands Police are investigating following a reported assault on a 15-year-old girl as she was traveling on a bus with a friend.
The incident is believed to have taken place on board the number 45 bus while travelling along the Pershore Road in Birmingham, just before 12pm on Monday (7th January)
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “The suspect inappropriately touched her hair, face and thighs.”
It’s understood the ordeal ended when another passenger intervened.
The mother of the victim said: “Without that woman I believe my daughter would have been very badly assaulted”
Incident has been captured on CCTV, enquiries are on-going.
Due to extremely high demand, it wasn’t possible to visit the mother of the victim on the day of the offence. Officers have since spoken to the victim to apologise.
