West Midlands Police are investigating after a man was assaulted on the number 27 bus travelling on Bournville Lane – Bournville on Monday 3rd December at around 4pm.

The 41-year-old man, who is believed to be registered blind and disabled, was travelling home alone on the bus following a shopping trip.

The offender, thought to be a teenage girl was in the company of two other girls, all wearing a school uniform – it is believed the girls boarded the bus just before Linden Road and sat behind the victim.

A close family member said: “They then started to poke him, slap him round the head and pull his head phones out while laughing at him.”

  1. The behaviour of ‘students’ from Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School, on the route 27 is appalling at times. They are ignorant and have no respect whatsoever for other passengers using this service.
