West Midlands Police are investigating following a report of a man approaching two girls in Frankley on Saturday (10th November).
It was reported that an Asian man driving a blue car, approached the girls aged 12 and 13, at around 8.20pm on Holly Hill Road.
The Mother of one the young girls said: “My daughter and her friend carried on walking fast and the man started to follow them, so they ran to a lady who was walking further on who took them to her house and phoned the police.”
A West Midlands Spokesperson said: “We would like to reassure people there have been no similar reports in the area but would always urge parents to speak to their children about ‘stranger danger’ and to call us immediately if they notice any suspicious activity.”
Enquiries are on-going to identify the driver and local officers are patrolling the area and working with local schools to help with enquiries.
