Police are investigating reports of a carjacking in Shannon Road, Hawkesley, around 6.30pm last night (Tuesday 30th October).

A man, aged in his 30s, is believed to have been assaulted by a group who took the keys to his Ford KA.

According to the victim, he has sustained a fracture to his elbow and cuts and bruises during the incident.

He described how he “ran back to the car and started pulling the driver out, was hit with a bat and then the others got out and started smashing my car up and then ran off”.
