Thieves made off with a large quantity of fireworks after breaking into a Northfield shop in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 20th October).

The offenders broke through rear doors of the shop in Bristol Road South, opposite Reynolds and Reynolds at around 1am.

Fireworks worth over £1000 were stolen, the thieves leaving the outer boxes strewn around the rear of the property before taking the contents down an alleyway toward Torre Avenue.

The fireworks were all made by Brightstar / Esco.
