West Mercia Police are investigating after an Audi was stolen during a knifepoint robbery in Rubery yesterday (Thursday 18th October).

Officers were called to Holywell Lane just before 7.30pm, where it was reported an Audi had been stolen from its driver at knifepoint.

It’s believed the offenders were travelling in a white VW Golf and a white van and forced the Audi to a stop.

Holding ‘a bladed article’ the offenders took the car and drove off towards Rubery in all three vehicles, leaving the driver, a man in his early 20s, uninjured.

Detective Sergeant Kirsty Hickling of West Mercia Police said: “A thorough investigation has been launched and a number of enquiries are ongoing.

“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or any suspicious behaviour in the area to please come forward.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 746s of 18 October 2018. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or visit www.crimestoppers-uk.org
