West Midlands Police have offered reassurance after a woman reported a concerning incident in a local park over the weekend.

A woman was walking her dog in a bustling Cannon Hill Park in Edgbaston on Saturday afternoon (21st July). As she walked through a quieter area, she spotted a man watching her from bushes and performing a sexual act on himself.

West Midlands confirmed that they had received the report and that investigations are ongoing.

Inspector Neil Kirkpatrick said: “Local neighbourhood officers are aware of the incident. We’ll have patrols in the park over the summer holidays to keep it a safe place for families to enjoy.”

If you have any information or you witness any suspicious behaviour, please call police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
