Several readers have enquired about a police presence by the canal in Kings Norton yesterday afternoon (Saturday 30th June).

West Midlands Police were called by a member of the public with good intent, to investigate after a bone was spotted in the canal off Lifford Lane.

A police cordon was put in place on the access road close to the Rush Trampoline park and Tumble Jungle while police officers investigated.

Thankfully, officers soon discovered the incident was a false alarm and retrieved what appeared to be a cooked animal bone from the canal.
