There’s more fun in the sun in and around south west Brum this weekend, with three carnivals and festivals to choose from!

There’s music, entertainment, arts, crafts, stalls, dog show, opera, circus, inflatables, fabulous food and drink – and even some little football match you might not want to miss!


Northfield Carnival 2018: 12 – 5pm Saturday 7th July

Northfield’s annual Carnival event returns to Victoria Common with arena acts overseen by Moonlighting Roadshow, rides, inflatables, stalls, food, arts village, activities, and more!

Arena events include: Moonlighting Roadshow, Bob Hogg’s Sheepdogs and Ducks, Birmingham Youth Theatre, Night Cyphers Street Dance Crew, Khamzin Belly Dance, Elite Academy of Dance and Gymnastics, Brumvik Viking Reenactment, Northfield Caledonia Pipe and Drums, Fusion Gymnastics and Birmingham Rock School.

Outside the arena there is a Viking encampment, a birds of prey display, arts village with Northfield Arts Forum, an afternoon tea tent, rides, inflatables, stalls, food and more.

And for football lovers: There will be an area for families to watch the England v Sweden World Cup 2018 quarter final on two 42″ screens

CoCoMad 2018 @ Cotteridge Park: 12-7pm Saturday 7th July

CoCoMad is back for its 22nd year and although its not been possible to have a parade this year, they are more than making up for it!

This year will instead see a Grand Opening Ceremony involving Birmingham Opera and CircusMash introducing Cirqaville, celebrating 250 years of the circus! With performances, circus pop-ups, workshops, installations and surprises!

Take a little bit of circus, live music, arts, dance, science, activities and more to behold and participate in, throw in the some children’s activities, inflatables etc and a little bit of street food and drink and you’ll see CoCoMad really does have something for everyone!

And for football lovers: There’s no big screen in the park, but you could run round to the Cadbury Club to watch a bit of the match – and hope your friends and family will forgive you for deserting them!

Halesowen Carnival and Music Festival 2018: 12-8pm Saturday 7th July

Taking place in Highfields Park, the event will be opened by Mayor of Dudley Alan Taylor and ITV’s Simon Cowell lookalike Andy Monk!

There will be live entertainment on three stages with acts including, Three Legs Forward, Black Country Gaz plus others.

There is a funfair, a dog show and a variety of stalls selling various gifts, tombola, glitter tattoos and more.

Food and drink including bars, tea and coffee van and a variety of foods including Mexican, Indian and Caribbean.

This is a FREE to enter event and is a short 2-3 min walk from the town centre car parks.

And for football lovers: The England v Sweden World Cup 2018 Quarter Final will be shown on a big screen
