West Midlands Police are investigating following three separate reports of sexual assaults on board buses in Birmingham in the past two weeks.
The first incident is believed to have taken place just after 10am on 21st May, when a 19-year-old woman was on board a number 47 bus in Warwards Lane, Selly Oak.
The woman was touched inappropriately several times by a man described as black, around 5ft 4ins and with a black beard.
The man is believed to have also touched a 38-year-old woman inappropriately on board the same bus in Turves Green in Northfield a short time later.
The following day, a 23-year-old woman was travelling on the top deck of the number 47 bus from Kings Norton, when she was groped as the bus traveled along Pebble Mill Road, Edgbaston.
Officers are investigating links between this incident and the two the previous day.
Investigating officer DC Fay Mason from the Perry Barr Public Protection team, said: “This is an unusual occurrence and I want to assure the public that we are working hard on finding out who is responsible for these sexual assaults.
“I would urge anyone who has any information to contact me as soon as possible. If you experience anything similar that worries you, make sure you contact police.”
