Three 13 year old lads – including one who had received his bike just one day earlier to celebrate his thirteenth birthday – had their mountain bikes stolen by a group of others in the centre of Northfield on Saturday (2nd June).

The three boys had been outside McDonalds in Bristol Road South when they were approached by a group of youths at around 5.45pm.

The youths threatened the boys, demanding they hand their bikes over. The bikes were taken in Bell Lane and the group rode off towards the Black Horse.

Fortunately, none of the boys were hurt but were very shaken by the incident.

Bikes stolen were:

Carrera Vengeance – Orange

Giant Talon 2 – Blue and black

Cube mountain bike – Grey and red
