Yesterday afternoon police were alerted to a road traffic collision that happened on Popes Lane, Kings Norton at 8.10am in the morning (12 June).
It’s believed a car described as a silver BMW clipped the back wheel of a bike, knocking over a 14-year-old boy whilst on his way to school. The driver spoke to the youngster, reportedly without exiting the vehicle, and checked he was okay before driving off.
The teenager was assisted to St Thomas Aquinas Catholic School by a member public and later attended hospital, where it was revealed that he may have sustained a fractured wrist – but can’t be confirmed until the bruising and swelling have subsided.
