A Druids Heath home was targeted in a suspected arson attack yesterday afternoon (Sunday 13th May).
West Midlands Police today confirmed today that they are investigating the case as suspected arson, after fires were set to the rear garden fence and front porch of the property in Milston Close, off Druids Lane, at around 2pm.
A spokesperson said: “Police have launched an investigation after a house in Birmingham was set alight yesterday afternoon.
“It is believed that the rear garden fence and front porch of a property in Milston Close, Druids Heath was set alight at some time between 2.10pm and 2.30pm, before the offenders made off.”
Footage of a severe fire in the garden of the property was posted online by a resident of a neighbouring property.
Paul Sargant and his wife and two young children watched in horror and disbelief as the fire quickly took hold, destroying their next door neighbours garden and spreading into theirs.
Police confirmed that, although thankfully no-one was injured in the attack, the house and surrounding properties sustained significant damage.
