Police investigate after man receives stab injury in fight at Frankley pub

West Midlands Police are investigating after a man was stabbed during an altercation at a Frankley pub on Tuesday evening (15th May).

Officers were called to a report of a fight at the Lickey Banker in Ormond Road at around 6.40pm.

The man – believed to be in his 30s – received a stab injury to his stomach and was taken to hospital. A police spokesman confirmed that the man’s injury was not life threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or visit www.crimestoppers-uk.org

  1. Another crime involving knives.

I do wish the punishment for using knives with intent to wound or kill, should be increased to 10 years minimum regardless of age. Knife crime is completely out of control, as is gun crime, but the Government chooses not to address the issue.
