British Transport Police investigating an assault at Birmingham New Street station which left a member of the public with a fractured shoulder have released CCTV in connection.

The assault happened at approximately 10pm on 28th April at the ticket barriers. A woman was walking backwards at the station and almost collided with another member of the public. The member of public, a woman in her 50s, was forced to put her hands out to stop them from colliding.

The member of the public then walked towards the ticket barriers where they were pushed by this woman. The shove was so hard it left the victim with a fractured shoulder.

The suspect then leaves the station.

Officers believe the woman in the CCTV image has information which could help them investigate.
