A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following an accident in Rubery yesterday evening (Saturday 14th April). 

West Midlands Police officers were called to Longwood Road just after 5.30pm to a report of a motorcyclist being in collision with a stationary car.

The 30 year old man suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital today.

The road remained closed for around 4 hours while officers examined the scene of the collision.

Anyone with information or who saw what happened is asked to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting log 2050 of 14 April.
