Would-be ram raiders made a failed attempt to access the CEX store in Northfield high street in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 10th March).
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman confirmed: “An unknown vehicle was driven into the shutters on the front of the shop, sometime between 1.05am and 1.20am.
“The shop shutter remained intact. The offender did not gain entry to the building and drove away from the area.”
CEX staff confirmed that, despite the attempt, they had been able to open the store in Bristol Road South as normal this morning.
