Readers reported hearing loud bangs after the fire in Hollymoor Park was set at just before 5.45pm, close to the children’s playground.

Witnesses reported a blue coloured small car being driven without headlights around the area.

One man reported being nearly hit by the car as it drove through “The Lanes” footpaths between Great Park and Hollymoor Way at around 5.15pm.

The car was then seen being driven recklessly, without headlights, around Hollymoor Way.
