West Midlands Police are investigating after a group of armed men attempted to rob a Weoley Castle bank this morning (Tuesday 14th November) – only to leave empty handed.

The group of up to three men entered Lloyds Bank in Castle Square at just after 9.30am this morning. The men – one believed to be armed with a gun – demanded cash but left soon after with nothing.

No-one was injured during the attempt.
