Another car theft method to be aware of.
West Midlands Police have released a video showing a car being stolen – in minutes – from a drive way in Solihull.
Thieves use an electronic box to relay a signal from the key INSIDE The house to a second box by the car, tricking the car into thinking it’s unlocked.
The boxes can receive signals through walls, doors and windows, but not metal. Consider keeping your keys in a metal box and investing in a Thatcham-approved steering lock and / or vehicle tracking solutions.
