Funeral arrangements made for popular Northfield ice cream man

Funeral arrangements have now been made for a popular Northfield ice cream man who died last week.

The death of Simon Price, 48, was announced on B31 Voices by his brother Chris on 11th November and hundreds of messages of shock and condolence were left by readers.

Simon was well known locally, having worked in the family business for 28 years, selling ice creams from Selly Oak, through South West Birmingham and up to the Lickey Hills.

Price’s Square in Northfield town centre – where the Price’s ran a kiosk selling ice cream, sandwiches and more –was named after the family.
