[VIDEO] Fire crews rescue and revive puppy after Druids Heath flat fire

3

Firefighters from West Midlands Fire Service have used brand new animal oxygen therapy equipment to revive a puppy rescued from a flat fire in Druids Heath this morning.

The fire began in the kitchen of a flat in Kimpton Close just after 6am. The occupants – a family including a toddler – all managed to get themselves to safety.

However, they were unable to get to and save their young pup, Buster.

When crews from Kings Norton, Billesley and Bournbrook arrived, they managed to rescue Buster, who was unconscious after inhaling smoke.

Luckily, crews had new oxygen therapy equipment placed on trucks just a few days ago and were able to use the new kit to revive Buster – much to the relief of his rescuers and his family!

A huge THANK YOU to the firefighters and get well soon, Buster!
