The Weoley Castle Festival (8th July 2017) was an assortment of food stalls, activities and performances by talented young people. The Festival was in Weoley Castle Square.

The stalls included Northfield Arts Forum (see previous article); Mercy Path, Blue Cross and more!

Northfield Arts Forum had a dress up corner and other activities to enjoy. The activities were a pay as you feel set up, just like the monthly café. Next to it was a Cookie and Cupcake stall who sold cookies and cupcakes for 50p each. And may I say, they were delicious.

There were many other things to do, such as sport activities with Park Lives, Bouncy Slides, Hook a Duck, face painting, free health checks with Bournville Seventh Day Adventist church and a Blue Cross Tombola. The community police were also there to keep everyone safe.

Onto the performances. There were amazing performances by F.C.S Cheers, Elite Dance Academy and other young people. One performance that stood out was a boy named Daniel and his daring gymnastics! It really was the place to be!
