The Magnix Explorers sponsored walk was a wonderful experience. Everyone supported one another and the atmosphere was amazing.

The 10 mile walk to raise funds for the Explorers unit was from the Magnix Explorers scout hut in Longbridge (next to Albert Bradbier School) to Blackwell Court Adventure – and back to the scout hut.

Even though it was a long and drenching walk, the morale was high and everyone had fun. And although we all got wet, we all had a lot of fun! When we got to Blackwell Adventure, we were all very relieved to have a break before we set of in the direction we came to get back to the Scout Hut.

The walk back was just as gruelling as the walk there, but our determination to get back drove us forward and we finished the walk, some finishing earlier than others.

After the walk ended, some of us stayed over at the Hut. We were all relieved to get into dry clothes and set up our beds for the night (which we didn’t actually sleep in until a few hours later).

Overall, this walk was a great success and we all got on very well.
