British Transport Police (BTP) are investigating an assault which took place on a train from Longbridge to Northfield at just after 3pm on 24th April.

The three girls aged 13 and 14 sustained cuts and bruises when they were assaulted by a larger group of teenage girls as they were travelling on the train.

The assault continued when the three victims got of the train at Northfield station, fortunately a member of the public intervened and escorted the girls home.

A spokesperson for BTP said: “Officers are working on a number of lines of enquiry which includes reviewing CCTV footage.”
