A Northfield shopping centre gave local children a hopping half-term, when a bouncing bunny came to town as part of its Easter celebrations.

On Wednesday, 12 April, the Easter Bunny had a spring in his step after making an extra special appearance at Northfield Shopping Centre, where children had the chance to meet the bunny and join him for photographs for them to take home.

Adam Meade, Northfield Shopping Centre manager, said he was delighted to be able to welcome the Easter Bunny to Northfield. “Everybody had a hopping good time at our Easter event on Wednesday,” he said. “We had more than 150 children at the centre, excited to meet the Easter Bunny and take part in our themed activities.”

As part of the centre’s Easter eggstravaganza, parents and their children also had the chance to take part in Easter crafts and have their faces painted. “Throughout the day, we also hosted a craft station, where people could make egg baskets to take home for their chocolate treats, alongside face painting in Costa Coffee” he said.

“Plus, we also hosted a social media competition giving one lucky family the chance to win a family ticket to Cadbury World, where they can enjoy learning about how chocolate is made, and visit the world’s biggest Cadbury store.”

“Wednesday was a really exciting day at the centre and it was brilliant to see everyone celebrating Easter with our fun-loving bunny at Northfield Shopping Centre.”
