Sadly, the lady died after the car she was travelling in collided with with a tree this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Services were alerted to an accident on Hill Lane in Wythall, at 9:20am this morning (29th March). A passer-by came across the accident when passing and stopped to help.

In an attempt to save the ladies life, two ambulances, a BASICS doctor, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a MERIT trauma doctor on board attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival ambulance staff found a member of the public performing CPR on the woman. Staff and medics took over resuscitation efforts and commenced advanced life support at the roadside. Despite the best efforts of the passer by and ambulance staff it was not possible to save the woman and she was confirmed dead on scene.”

Our thoughts are with the ladies family and friends and those affected.
