We just read: Birmingham shop comes under fire for selling replica weapons and rockets


Store visited by police armed response units after locals complain.

It’s not the kind of bargain you expect to see in a shop window – and passers-by have understandably been left shell-shocked by the offer of a gleaming mortar and accompanying rockets.

And the weapon – capable of firing 150 feet in the air – is a real snip at just £126.

Not surprisingly, staff at Maddogs and Englishmen Army Surplus store, in Northfield, have come in for some flak.
