The British Oak in Stirchley will be hosting a superheroes family charity day on Saturday 28th January, 1-6pm, to celebrate the pub’s Charity of the Year partnership with Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice on Raddlebarn Road.
The family fun day will have a superhero theme, and the pub is encouraging fancy dress with a prize for the best costume. There will also be a table top sale, bouncy castle, raffle, face painting and superhero films on the big screen for little and big kids to enjoy.
Sarah Barber-Jones, Community Fundraising Manager at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice said: “We are delighted that the British Oak has chosen Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice as their Charity of the Year.
As a local charity, the support we receive from the community means a lot to us. This event is a fun way to raise funds for a fantastic cause and we hope to see many heroes and villains out in force!”
It costs £8 million each year to run Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice which provides care and support for over 1,200 individuals and their families, carers and loved ones across Birmingham and Sandwell. Over half of these running costs come from voluntary donations.
The British Oak is located on 1364 Pershore Road, Stirchley, Birmingham, B30 2XS. To find out more about the family charity day or to book a stall on the day, please email Bar Manager Sebastiaan Ros on firstname.lastname@example.org
