Tomorrow (3rd December) will see the launch of what can only be described as a real treat for men, when ‘The Backroom Barber Club‘ open their doors for business.
Men will be able to enjoy a fashionably luxurious experience, by appointment only, (18+) at the visually stunning premises at 96 Edgewood Road in Rednal. Be it, the subtle to the highly styled hair cut, or the traditionally romanticised cutthroat shave, this is male grooming at its finest.
It’s not just the spawn of a new business that is happening tomorrow, it’s the moment when two lads will be realising a dream.
After the recession in 2009, Mickey Saeed decided to pursue a career change and follow his passion in men’s fashion appearance.
He enrolled at Bournville College and met Andrew Yates when doing an NVQ level 2 Barbering course at in 2014.
Andrew and Mickey, both originally from a construction background, soon realised that not only did they share a passion, they shared a determination to succeed.
Andrew said: “To be able to see our vision come to life with a different kind of barbers including male grooming is a great achievement for both of us.
“We really look forward to welcoming gents for them to enjoy this bespoke male grooming experience.”
Cllr Andy Cartwright said: “As a Cllr it is really important to bring businesses and the community together. Proud that Mickey and Andy have agreed to support the Project. Following my visit I strongly recommend people to pop down tomorrow to meet the team and see the outstanding new business.”
We asked Mickey, if they could have any customer, who would it be? Expecting the answer to be somebody like David Beckham, his answer tells you exactly the kind of men these fellas are.
Mickey said: “Our perfect client would be someone who is down on their luck who would benefit from a full service i.e. – hair, cutthroat shave and a few complementary drinks to give them a boost of self-esteem and hopefully encourage them to succeed, looking and feeling the best version of themselves.”
If you can, tomorrow from 11am, go along to their opening event and support this fabulous new service to our community.
After the opening event, you will need to book an appointment, you can do that by calling them on: 07708317549 or @bkrmbarbers on instagram and Facebook.
Good luck fellas.
