A 20 year old man from Northfield has been charged in relation to a shooting in Selly Oak in July.

The incident happened in Tiverton Road, close to the junction with Bristol Road, at around 11.30pm on Sunday 10th July.

The injured man, 27, suffered a single shot to his upper arm through the window of his car and was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery.

At the time, West Midlands Police stated that they believed the shooting was a targeted attack.

Chad Greatbatch, 20, will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on 29th December charged with attempted murder.
