Christmas in Bournville will begin this year at precisely 7pm on Thursday, 1st of December, when the wonderful Bournville Christmas Tree Lights are switched on.
Each year The Bournville Village Council organises a festive evening to help us all celebrate this unique Bournville annual event.
There are usually Carols to be sung accompanied by the magic of Bournville’s Carillon played by our Carillon maestro Trevor Workman.
Father Christmas always manages to find the time to visit the Bournville Green hopefully laden with small presents for children.
There are usually hot drinks, refreshments to buy and charitable collections. Our special guest of honour to actually count us down to the 7pm lights switch on is always our Bournville Village festival Queen. We have been very fortunate in recent years to have Radio WM’s very own Richard Wilford to be our Master of Ceremonies for the evening.
It is a wonderful Christmas event to be part of and we are always looking for help. Why not come and help us organise this festive fun.
