Are you man or mouse? Or more of a teddy bear than a Bear Grylls type?! Find out just what you are made of by taking on Headway’s ‘Survive the Wild’ challenge next spring!
This two-day adventure takes place on 13 -14 May, 2017 offering you and your friends a chance to challenge yourselves to trek, rock scramble, abseil, cliff jump and negotiate through the tunnels and caves of Dark Peak in the Peak District. You’ll get closer to nature as you experience wild camping and survive on food sourced from the land. And with a team of experts to guide you, you’ll be part of a group, working together to overcome a series of exhilarating challenges and learning a whole range of new skills as you do so – from basic navigations skills through to shelter-building and potentially life-saving survival techniques.
This exciting challenge has been organised by Headway Birmingham & Solihull in conjunction with its sister charities in Worcestershire and Shropshire to raise awareness and much-needed funds for their specialist brain injury services across the three areas.
Julie Wedgbury, Fundraising Manager at Headway Birmingham & Solihull said: “We’re all about encouraging people to live life to the full and what better way than challenging yourself to an adventure like this!
“Survive the Wild isn’t for the faint-hearted. It will test your courage, your stamina and your determination too, but is guaranteed to be great fun, a genuine experience of a lifetime.”
