Families from across Northfield headed to the town’s shopping centre during the half-term holidays to enjoy frightfully fun ‘Howling Halloween’ activities to celebrate the spooky season.
On Saturday, 29 October, parents and their children flocked to Northfield Shopping Centre for a Halloween spooktacular, including cookie decorating, face painting and a trick or treat hunt around the centre.
Adam Meade, Northfield Shopping Centre manager, said the centre’s spooky event was a huge success, with everyone having a fantastic time with Northfield’s Halloween witches. “We were delighted to see so many people enjoying the free ‘Howling Halloween’ activities during the school holidays,” he said. “Some of the little ones even came along in fancy dress, so it was brilliant to see plenty of mini Dracula’s, kittens and witches.
“Throughout the day, children had the chance to decorate and take home their very own cookie with colourful icing to create a pumpkin or a devil. Plus, guests went on the Sherlock Holmes Trail looking for clues around the centre to be in with a chance to win sweet treats.
“The face painter was incredible too, transforming all of the children into tigers, princesses and fairies,” Adam added.
“We hope the people of Northfield had a brilliant time and enjoyed celebrating the spooky season at our ‘Howling Halloween’ event.”
