He is the kind and caring five year-old who faced more troubles in the last year than many adults see in a lifetime.

JS95402582Jack Haynes suffered a brain haemorrhage in August and was then diagnosed with Arteriovenous Malformation (an abnormal connection between arteries and veins) four months later.

Now Jack is being rewarded for his bravery by winning a Children’s Honour from Warwick Castle – a special award for remarkable youngsters who make our world a better place.

As well as being declared a Child of Honour, Jack, who attends Colmers Farm Primary School, has won an overnight’s stay for five at Warwick Castle in the new Knight’s Village lodges – mediaeval-style cabins full of comfortable, modern facilities.

He has also been nominated for an award at The Brummies – the Mail’s new look awards honouring unsung heroes in the city.
