West Mercia Police officers investigating an attempted robbery in Rubery are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery that took place on Monday 6 June.

The incident happened at approximately 8:45pm when the victim was stood outside a convenience store on New Road, Rubery. He was approached by a large group of men on bikes who began shouting comments to him, before following the victim as he walked towards St Chad’s Road.

One of the men approached the victim and produced what is believed to have been a bladed weapon, asking him to empty his pockets.

The offender is described as a white man with dark brown hair, wearing a grey hooded jacket and grey shorts. He had a distinctive scar across his cheek.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information.
