A local animal sanctuary has been broken into – with the thief making off with a quantity of cat food and dog food.

A man broke into Wythall Animal Sanctuary in Middle Lane, Kings Norton some time between 6.20pm and 8pm on Sunday 15th May.

On their Facebook page, the sanctuary said that the man drove a car right up to the feed shed and loaded it up with food. The animals in their care all remained secure.

The sanctuary said that CCTV footage of the man had been obtained and would be passed on to the police.

If anyone has any information or is offered a quantity of Lily’s Kitchen pet food, please call West Mercia Police on 101.

If you can donate any cat or dog food, the sanctuary use the following brands: James Wellbeloved, Arden Grange, Burns or Lily’s kitchen. Alternatively, you can donate cash to help with food and security upgrading to Wythall Animal Sanctuary.
