West Midlands Police have released CCTV images following an incident where a man was apparently deliberately struck by a car in Weoley Castle last month.

The incident happened just after midnight on Sunday 14th February at the BP petrol station at the junction of Alwold Road and Barnes Hill.

The suspect almost drove into the 36 year old victim as he pulled his car into the garage and there was an exchange of words between the two men.

The car was then driven deliberately at the pedestrian who was knocked on to the bonnet of the car and carried 15 metres before falling off.

The victim attended hospital and received treatment for his injuries and was later discharged.

Police are looking for information on the car and driver:

  • Vauxhall Zafira
  • Silver
  • Black roof rack
  • Front offside hubcap missing
  • Driver 24-25 years old
  • White
  • Fair haired
