West Midlands Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a Frankley Post Office on Saturday (19th March).

Officers were called to Holly Hill Post office on Arden Road at around 8.40am to a report of an armed robbery. A man threatened staff with a knife and made off with a small quantity of cash.

Officers arrived within a few minutes, however the offender had already left the scene, in the direction of Princess Diana Way.

A 30 year old man was arrested later on Saturday in connection with the robbery. He has been bailed while enquiries continue.

  1. and it cost over a million pounds to regenerate this area,what a total joke.ive lost count the amount of times these shops over there have been attacked,the shopkeepers have no protection.i have lived on frankley for 38 years this august,and its getting worse,i never go over there anymore,it is to unsafe.
    post office,omco supermarket,martins newsagenets,diy shop have all been countless victims over the last12 months.
    litter everwhere,drugs,moterbikes out of control,and wheely bins being set on fire.
