Bing and Flop, stars of children’s books and TV, will be meeting young fans at Northfield Shopping Centre this half-term.
The adorable CBeebies pair will be at the shopping centre on Friday February 19 at intervals between 11am to 4pm.
Northfield Shopping Centre manager Adam Meade is expecting a big turn-out of families, with youngsters eager to meet their favourites.
He said: “Feedback from our customers shows that they really appreciate having free, fun activities for youngsters during the half-term break, so I am expecting a lot of families to come along on February 19.
“Bing and Flop will be appearing at intervals though the day, so there should be plenty of opportunities for children to meet them and for families to take photos – I hope it will be a memory that they will treasure for years to come.”
Adapted from Ted Dewan’s intuitive books, Bing and Flop launched on CBeebies in June 2014 and mirrors a young child’s experience, celebrating the noisy, joyful, messy reality of pre-school life.
Three-year-old Bing is a typical pre-schooler – spirited, lively and fascinated by the world around him and learning about life. Flop is Bing’s carer and is with him wherever he goes. When things go wrong for Bing, Flop is there to reassure him.
The shows acknowledge that sometimes things don’t go according to plan, and uses the power of story to explore strategies, in a gentle way, for both children and grown ups when confronting similar situations in their own lives.
Northfield Shopping centre is home to more than 40 stores, from fashion, health and beauty to services and food and drink, and has more than 650 parking spaces. More details at www.northfieldshopping.co.uk.
