IMG_0080-3.jpgWest Midlands Police have arrested two men for suspected firearms offences after forcibly entering a Northfield home early this morning (Wednesday 27th January).

Officers recovered four firearms after they executed a warrant at the house in Merritts Hill at around 5am.

Two men aged 31 and 21 were arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms and ammunition and remained in police custody this afternoon.

Detective Inspector Paul Joyce, said: “ The public are our eyes and ears and we want to appeal directly to the communities of Birmingham – please contact us on 101 with any information you have about gun crime in ourcity.

“Together we can and will work hard to remove as many illegal firearms from our streets as possible.”
