UPDATE: A teenager has presented himself to police. Thanks to all who shared and commented

A woman was taken to hospital with a head injury after a “house brick” was thrown through the window of a bus in Northfield yesterday evening.

The incident happened at around 5.45pm on Monday (7th December) when the “brick” smashed through the window of the number 18 bus in Holloway.

The 42 year old woman said she spent 7 hours in A&E, where she was told she had a skull fracture, but luckily did not need surgery. She also said she suffered: “lots of stitches, absolutely agonising pain and fear I can’t put into words.”

She added: “If anyone saw anything or think they may know individuals who would do something so mindless and cruel, please do the right thing and report to the police. I am sure if it had struck have a child or baby it would have killed them.”

West Midlands Police confirm that they are investigating the incident and ask anyone with any information to call them on 101

  1. This has happened before on this route and plenty of near misses in the past . Good job it didn’t hit the driver it would have caused a nasty accident.

  2. *ATTEMPTED MURDER*
…if you throw a brick at a glass bus window, you intend & expect it to break through, without any doubt indiscriminately showering shards of glass onto the fragile humans behind. Not to mention the potential death or serious maiming the cast rock’s likely to cause.
WHY ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH DOES SOCIETY ACCEPT & VIEW THIS A MERELY KIDS HAVING FUN???

  3. Bound to be a benifit scrounger mom with no control over her desires or the results of her one night stands, that’s the route of today’s troublesome youth.
Stop child benifit so theese filthy sinners stop plaguing the country with kids they have no intention of providing guidance for.
