West Midlands Police have arrested three men as part of their investigation into the murder of a Hawkesley teen.
Two Birmingham men, aged 27 and 28 were arrested on suspicion of murder in Coventry in the early hours of this morning.
A 44-year-old man was also arrested, on suspicion of assisting an offender.
A post mortem has revealed that Connor Smith, 19, died as a result of a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Connor died following an incident close to his home in Forde Way Gardens, Hawkesley late on Thursday night (8 October).
Detective Inspector Warren Hines said: “Following our enquiries we have arrested three men from an address in Coventry.
“This remains very much a live investigation and anyone who was in the area at the time may have information that is critical to the investigation and I would urge you to come forward.
“We continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward and Connor’s family have been made aware of the arrests.”
