West Midlands Police are investigating following a number of thefts of cars in the Nuthurst Road area of West Heath overnight last night (16/17 Sept).

Stolen items include laptops, mobile phones and tablets.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Dave Lamerton said: “I understand that thefts of this kind are frustrating and inconvenient, so I would urge residents to ensure that valuables are not left in vehicles overnight. Please take all laptops, mobile phones and tablets etc. out of your vehicles when parking up, even a coat can attract the interest of an opportunist thief.

“My team will be patrolling the area and looking out for insecure vehicles and anything that might seem worthy of being stolen with a view to making the vehicle’s owner aware.

“We will also provide a high visibility presence to help prevent this from happening again.”
