A Northfield high street store was closed today after an attempted ram raid in the early hours of this morning (13th July).

The shutters of the CEX shop in Bristol Road South were damaged after being rammed by a blue vehicle just.

Would be be thieves failed to gain entry and nothing was stolen.

Birmingham South Response police tweeted for members of the public to look out for a blue vehicle with front or rear end damage.

The store hopes to reopen for business tomorrow (Tuesday).
