Police have reassured residents that an incident in Northfield high street yesterday (Tuesday 19th May), in which a shop employee had a mobile phone stolen, was not thought to be related to any previous disorder. 

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “Two men have been arrested for assault, robbery and criminal damage after reports of disorder in a Northfield barber shop yesterday. Police were called around 5.30pm after an employee was assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone.

“The incident is not believed to be related to any previous disorder in the town.”

The two local men, aged 34 and 37, remain in police custody while enquiries continue.

  1. Mindless activities. Amongst the trouble in northfield do we forget there is a man dressed as a woman, wearing clothes only a woman would wear at home, in the bedroom,, for her husband.
    Strutting his stuff up and down the high street.. A face full of make up and a wig????
    Why is nothing done about this?

      My favourite was the get up he/she wore from the Sarah Brightman/Hot Gossip video I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper, I also liked the Cleopatra number…
