Targeted Support Worker

Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible, part-time Targeted Support Worker for 10 hours per week. This is an exciting new position where you will work on a one to one basis with families, and be involved in the process of receiving referrals and accompanying Family Coordinators on the initial visit to families referred to Home-Start Northfield
A relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification plus parenting experience is required.

Home-Start Northfield is a voluntary organisation offering support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children in the Northfield Ward.
We work with trained volunteers who visit families at home and offer them informal, confidential and flexible support. This very successful scheme has supported families in the local area since 1995.
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and inspirational Senior Organiser to lead our team. It is essential that candidates have a strong understanding of the needs of families with young children and knowledge of current related legislation and policies.
They will need to have relevant previous experience of the voluntary sector, managing projects, teaching adults, and supporting families as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Use and ownership of a car is essential.
