Fire crews rescued three people from a fire in a Kings Norton flat late last night (Thursday 12th March).

Crews from Kings Norton, Northfield and Bournbrook attended the fire in Middleton Hall Road just before midnight. 

One person was rescued via a 9 metre ladder while two others were helped from the flat by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. 

Two patients were taken to hospital by West Midlands Ambulance Service. One patient received burns to their foot and hand and a second patient was given oxygen after suffering smoke inhalation. A third person was assessed but uninjured.
