West Midlands Police have confirmed that at around 1.30pm this afternoon (Sunday 4th January) they received multiple 999 calls to report a woman had fallen from a tower block in the Hawkesley area.

On arrival at Saffron House in Green Lane, Kings Norton, officers found the body of a woman, believed to be in her late 60s.

West Midlands Police said: “The woman's family have been informed and her death is not being treated as suspicious. Details of the tragedy will now be transferred to the city's coroner for further investigation.”

Our thoughts go out to the lady's family and friends at this difficult time.
